People have often asked me, “why music and technology?” Aren’t those totally and completely different? Left brain vs. right brain? Actually, many musicians I know have embraced technology because of the many options available. iPads, in particular, have apps galore for the professional musician to use. Tuners, for example. Why carry an extra machine for tuning if you can just pull out your phone? Music folders can be digitized, with the music sorted into performance order. No papers to shuffle. There are many applications of digital technology in music education, but this is mainly a test blog post. I am interested in seeing where it will appear on my new blog site.
